The Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK) has developed the Child Rights Impact Assessment (CRIA). This tool is designed to facilitate the best possible evaluation of digital services in terms of children’s rights and welfare. It also identifies potential risks to children’s rights violations.
The primary goal of the CRIA is to stimulate discussions about the impact of digital services on children’s rights. While the assessment can also serve as an accountability tool, the focus is primarily on raising awareness through the dialogues that occur during the CRIA process.
The CRIA consists of a fillable document and manual. The fillable form is used to record responses to the assessment questions. The accompanying guide provides all the necessary background information to answer these questions effectively.
