The Dutch government wants to experiment innovating in a European context. This calls for leadership and a European coalition of the willing.
Seeking the connection
The Dutch government actively seeks the connection with European partners, initiating things that have not been done before. To give an example, the Dutch government will involve citizens and entrepreneurs in the development stage of new services. We are going to invest in research, and we won’t avoid the risk of failure in our search for the optimal solution.
Collaboration is crucial in this: both within the government, as with businesses, social organisations and science. Besides that, the Ministry for the Interior and Kingdom Relations will make sure that everyone within the government has the right knowledge about digitalization, no matter what their position in the organization is. If necessary, new laws will be made, like the Digital Government Act.
