On 24 and 25 September 2026, policymakers, implementing organisations, and experts from across Europe will gather in Rotterdam for Europe Goes Once-Only: The Netherlands Edition. This international event will focus on cross-border digital public services and data exchange within the European Union.
The Europe Goes Once-Only initiative comprises a series of events to advance the Once-Only Technical System (OOTS), a key feature of the EU’s digital market that eliminates redundant requests for citizens and businesses. The National Coordinator’s Office for the Single Digital Gateway (bNC-SDG) organises the event on behalf of the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK), in cooperation with the European Commission.
Programme
The programme features plenary sessions, workshops, and in-depth discussions on European digital cooperation. This includes the OOTS, the Single Digital Gateway (SDG) Regulation, and the European Digital Identity (EUDI Wallet), all underpinned by the Dutch emphasis on cross-government collaboration and interorganisation cooperation.
To explore the full programme, see the EC’s event page (the agenda for days 1 & 2 is at the bottom of the page).
For whom?
Europe Goes Once-Only serves policymakers, project leaders, implementing organisations, specialists, and teams involved in OOTS, digital identity initiatives (e.g., eIDAS) and SDG coordination from the Netherlands and across Europe.
Registration
The event will take place aboard the historic steamship SS Rotterdam. Professionals working on digital government services in Europe can register via the registration form. Registration is open until 14 August 2026, with early registration strongly recommended.
