The European Commission plans to invest €1.7 billion in digital innovation between 2025 and 2027 through the Digital Europe Programme. This funding aims to enhance Europe’s independence in digital technologies.
The funds will enhance the development of artificial intelligence (AI), data processing, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity and improve digital skills throughout Europe. The Digital Europe Programme is aimed at companies, academic institutions, and government organisations involved in advancing and implementing digital technologies and services.
Dutch parties are invited to participate in the openings and can access additional national co-financing. Additionally, the Ministry of Economic Affairs is allocating extra budget funds for topics not fully covered by the European programme.
