The quality of data in and between the base registers is measured annually. The quality measurement of links between base registries demonstrated that the quality was once again high last year and improved slightly overall. Addressing the challenges facing the Netherlands requires high-quality data, particularly in fields such as housing and energy.
Links between base registries create connections among data that appears in multiple registries. Users can integrate data from various registries for their applications. CBS, in collaboration with several base registries, ICTU, and the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK), measured Q4 2024 data.
Insight into quality
The annual quality measurement offers a view of the consistency of the links made by different registries. This means that the measurement provides insight into how often data has been linked and, if data has been connected, to what extent they match. The measurement also reveals trends, allowing you to see whether consistency compared to previous years is improving. For more information, please view the dashboard at CBS (Dutch).
Linking with data from new registrations
As it evolved into the Federative Data System (Dutch), connections with non-base registries were assessed previously. The dashboard now also includes the quality of links between organisations registered in the OIN register (Organisation Identifying Number), the Register of Government Organisations, and the Trade Register. Consistency among these registries is essential for a well-functioning data ecosystem.
