When choosing cloud services, questions about control, dependency, and data management are crucial. To help with this, the ICT Implementation Agency (Dienst ICT Uitvoering, or DICTU, in Dutch) has created an assessment tool to assist organisations in evaluating the features and risks of a cloud service, allowing for more informed decisions that align with their digital strategy.
The tool evaluates various aspects of a cloud service, such as data control, vendor transparency, and the legal context in which the service is provided. By going through the criteria step by step, users gain insight into how well a cloud solution meets their requirements. The tool is designed for architects, procurement specialists, and other professionals involved in selecting cloud services.
Measuring digital sovereignty
Using objective criteria, the tool assesses the level of control, independence, and reliability of cloud solutions. Interested? The tool is available for download at the DICTU website (Dutch). For questions, please contact expertisecentrum@dictu.nl.
