Quantum-safe Cryptography: New Study Offers Guidance

Quantum-safe Cryptography 29 September 2025

Organisations must act now to ensure a timely migration to quantum-safe cryptography. The first step is to assess the cryptographic resources your organisation uses. But how to do this effectively? A study, conducted by TNO, offers organisations insights into the possibilities and limitations of commercially available tools.

What technology can be used for this type of inventory? And are there any solutions available yet? These questions are not only relevant because of the threat posed by quantum computers to cryptography. They are also appropriate because of the measures that organisations must take in the context of the NIS2 Directive.

Cryptographic Asset Discovery and Inventory tooling

This study into Cryptographic Asset Discovery and Inventory tooling was commissioned by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), the Ministry of Economic Affairs and CIO-Rijk.

You can find the results and insights in the report Cryptographic Asset Discovery and Inventory (Dutch).
