Quantum-safe Cryptography Starter Kit for Software Suppliers

Post-Quantum Cryptography 13 February 2025

The threat of quantum computers to cryptography is one that is very relevant to software suppliers as well. They too must start preparing now, as their services and products will have to be quantum-safe in time. The Starter Kit Quantum-safe Cryptography should help them get started.

The starter kit may also prove useful to commissioning parties when speaking to their ICT and software suppliers (internal suppliers included). How can they prepare for the developments in quantum computing? And what is their part in this?

Visual contents

The document visually outlines why preparation is a must (section 2) and provides recommendations on how you can do so as a supplier (section 3). This is equally of interest to commissioning parties as it provides an overview of the actions yet to be taken by suppliers.

The Starter Kit Quantum-safe Cryptography (currently only in Dutch) is a publication of the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK).
