Use the NIS2 Self-Assessment to determine if your organisation is subject to the NIS2 Directive. This tool will also help you understand whether your organisation is classified as essential or important under the directive.
Developed by the Dutch Authority for Digital Infrastructure (in Dutch, Rijksinspectie Digitale Infrastructuur or RDI), this tool enables organisations to independently ascertain their obligations under the NIS2 Directive. By the end of 2024, the directive is expected to be incorporated into national law, at which point it will be applicable to all organisations deemed essential or important as per the directive’s criteria. Early preparation is recommended.
The self-assessment will clarify:
- Whether the NIS2 Directive is relevant to your organisation.
- If your organisation is categorised as essential or important.
- If your organisation falls under the jurisdiction of the Dutch authorities.
The self-assessment is intended for:
- Organisations operating within the European Union.
- Entities providing products and/or services in sectors outlined in Annex I and II of the NIS2, such as Energy, Transport, Digital Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, etc.
- Organisations of a specified minimum size.
- Organisations that might be specified under other legislation or possess specific exemption grounds.
What next?
The online consultation for NIS2 will start in early 2024. Organisations will then be able to respond to the legislative texts arising from the NIS2 Directive. More information about the online consultation will be available soon, along with action perspectives to help organisations prepare.
