Cabinet Policy

As digital developments continue to progress rapidly, digital expertise becomes crucial. This was emphasised by State Secretary Van Huffelen in her policy outline brief to the Parliament in March 2022.

Consequently, she aims to embrace the digital transformation with all departments, co-governments, and other partners. The guiding principles in the policy outline brief are outlined in the ‘I-Strategy for the State 2020-2025‘ (in Dutch) and the ‘Digital Government Agenda’, expected in the summer of 2022.

I-Strategy

The ‘I-Strategy for the Kingdom: 2020-2025’ highlights the importance and challenge of “building future-proof I-expertise.” Up-to-date knowledge of digitalisation and the necessary skills are essential for civil servants to perform their duties effectively. This applies to civil servants both with and without an I-background.
