Report a Vulnerability

The website nldigitalgovernment.nl was commissioned by the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK) and is updated and managed by ICTU.

Security

ICTU considers it important that its systems are secure. Despite the continuous care for security, you may identify a weak spot. If you find a weak spot on the website nldigitalgovernment.nl, please let us know so we can take measures.

What can you do?

We ask you to email the vulnerability as soon as possible to securityalerts@ictu.nl. We will then deal with it and resolve it as quickly as possible.

In addition, we ask you to:

  • Not abuse the potential problem by, for example, downloading more data than necessary or by viewing, deleting, or modifying third-party data;
  • Not to share your findings with others until we have resolved the vulnerability;
  • Delete confidential data obtained through a potential leak immediately after the leak has been fixed;
  • Not use physical security attacks, social engineering, distributed denial of service, spam, or third-party applications;
  • Provide sufficient information to resolve the problem as soon as possible. Usually, providing the IP address or URL of the affected system along with a description of the vulnerability is sufficient. Additional details may be necessary for more complex vulnerabilities.

What can you expect from us?

  • We will treat your report confidentially and will not share your data with third parties without your consent. Reporting under a pseudonym is possible.
  • If the above conditions are followed, no legal action will be taken against you regarding the report.
  • We will deal with your report as soon as possible and in any case within a maximum of 3 working days. You will receive an acknowledgment of receipt of your report, including an indication of when the problem will be resolved.
  • We will keep you informed of progress and thank you appropriately for your help.
