New guidance on standards for federated data sharing has been published on NORA Online. The guidance provides organisations with a clearer understanding of these standards, explaining their role within the Federated Data System (FDS) and how they interconnect.
The new guidance supports organisations in developing new systems and adapting existing ones, enabling data exchange in a simple, secure and accountable manner.
An overview of all the guidance (Dutch) is available on NORA Online.
Understanding standards and their connections
Common standards are essential for federated data sharing. They ensure that data from different sources can be described, discovered and exchanged unambiguously, while keeping the data at its source.
The guidance offers additional clarification on standards already in use within the FDS, as well as those under consideration. It also provides insight into how these standards relate to the domain architecture for data exchange within the Generic Digital Infrastructure (GDI).
Webinar: standards in the FDS
On 4 June, Realisatie IBDS is hosting a webinar (in Dutch) on FDS standards. Participants will learn which standards are most likely to be included in the FDS Agreement Framework. Registration is possible via this agenda item on the IBDS website, where you’ll also find more information about the webinar’s content.
