Privacy and data protection are fundamental rights. These rights give individuals greater control over their personal lives and information. Citizens and officials must be able to trust that government organisations process personal data lawfully and correctly.
To support this, the privacy team of both CIO Rijk (Chief Information Officer of the Dutch Government) and Digitalisation Policy has developed various tools. These include frameworks for conducting a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA), a digital support tool, and knowledge events, webinars, and training sessions.
