  • The Digital Government Act is the legal basis for the Access System. Phased implementation of the system is underway.

  • European Digital Identity Framework determined.
  • A national legislative process is launched to implement the regulation.

3. The development of a public Dutch open-source wallet with the highest requirements for data protection, information security and accessibility.
  • The first test of a Dutch sample wallet.

4. Participate as a country in large-scale European pilots involving ID wallets.
  • The Netherlands participates in three European pilots that enable cross-border business using an ID wallet. Lessons learned are implemented in the NL sample wallet.

5. Set up a Dutch admission system for ID wallets that satisfy public values.
  • The first system architecture is prepared.
