The digital transition has profound implications for how we work, live and play. This is especially true in a digitalised country like The Netherlands. Digitalisation is therefore at the core of this government’s ambitions. For the government to meet these ambitions, it is essential that it deploys digital technology responsibly and offers good services to citizens and entrepreneurs.
This requires being proactive, taking charge and prioritising: Where do digital developments affect the government and society? What opportunities should we seize and where should we intervene to mitigate risks? What has to happen now and what can be done later?
New Dutch Digitalisation Strategy (NDS)
In response to these developments, the government has announced a new Dutch Digitalisation Strategy (abbreviated NDS in Dutch). The NDS aims to tie together existing digitalisation plans and set priorities. It will soon be offering a concise guide of what is needed to make digitalisation a collective success. For citizens as well as entrepreneurs.
