Strengthening digital resilience across the Kingdom

The Dutch government is working to improve both digital and physical services in the Caribbean Netherlands, with cyber resilience as a key focus. To support this, the Government-wide Cyber Programme launched the Caribbean Cyber Resilience Programme. It comprises 5 webinars, tailored explicitly to the Caribbean context.

Webinar 1. Staying Safe online: from phishing to data protection

In this webinar, 2 experts delve deeper into what a cyberattack is precisely. It covers what motivates hackers, and how social engineering techniques and phishing attacks are used to trick people into sharing sensitive information. You’ll gain practical insights to strengthen your cyber resilience and prevent incidents. The webinar, in English with Dutch subtitles, is available for review on the Government-wide Cyber Programme’s website.

Webinar 3. Cyber crisis management in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom

This webinar, in Dutch with English subtitles, focuses on the practical side of cyber crisis management: how do you respond as an organisation to a cyber incident, who takes the lead, and how do you limit the damage when systems fail, or information becomes inaccessible? It can be reviewed on the Government-wide Cyber Programme’s website.

Webinar 4. Ransomware: Are you prepared?

Experts in ransomware reveal how cybercriminals operate, exploit system vulnerabilities, and why some organisations choose to negotiate with attackers. The session, in Dutch with English subtitles, outlines practical steps and breaks down the 3 critical phases of an attack: forensic investigation, vulnerability exploitation, and cooperation. Webinar 5. Privacy & Security: protection of personal data

Experts guide you and your organisation (in Dutch with English subtitles) on strengthening digital resilience within the close-knit communities of the Caribbean islands. They share insights from the Data Protection Authority of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba (BES islands) and clarify why privacy is about much more than just following rules.
