Caribbean Cyber Resilience 21 November 2025

Under the banner of ‘One Kingdom, One Mission, Cyber Resilient Together,’ the Government-wide Cyber Programme has launched a series of 5 webinars. These webinars are specifically designed for the Caribbean context. The Government-wide Cyber Exercise was first introduced in Bonaire in October. A tabletop exercise there highlighted the region’s unique cybersecurity challenges.

The region’s global significance in business and travel, alongside rising cross-border cyber threats, demands tailored cybersecurity strategies. That’s why the Government-wide Cyber Programme is hosting 5 region-specific webinars as part of the Caribbean Cyber Resilience Programme.

Upcoming webinars

On Tuesday, 25 November, the programme kicks off with the English-language webinar Staying safe online: from phishing to data protection. A Papiamentu webinar on the same subject will be hosted on Thursday, 27 November.

Other key topics that will be covered in the webinars scheduled for December include:

  • 4 December: Cyber crisis management tailored to the Caribbean’s infrastructure (Dutch, with English subtitles).
  • 11 December: Ransomware preparedness and response strategies (Dutch, with English subtitles).
  • 18 December: Privacy and security for protecting personal and organisational data (Dutch, with English subtitles).

Expert-led sessions for practical insights

Experts from across the Caribbean will lead the sessions. They will offer real-world strategies to help individuals and organisations respond to regional cybercrime and digital threats, including phishing and social engineering. Attendees will receive practical advice to enhance cyber resilience and prevent incidents. In addition, they will be able to ask questions during the webinars via chat.
